Lion and Lamb Ministries 10th Anniversary / March 2005

In the beginning… that’s how the Bible begins to tell the story of us. Each of us has our part in the great plan of God. Since this is the tenth anniversary of this ministry, I thought I would share a snapshot of where we are today. In the beginning, it was my wife, Lin, my two children, one computer, and my personal savings that started the ministry. The Bible instructs us to not despise small beginnings. So, I’m not going to tell you a lot about the past. Instead, I want to share with you what the Lord has done with our small beginning, what we do, and how you have been instrumental in the progress to date.

We thank all of you who have prayed for us and helped us financially. Many of you have heard my teachings and used them to encourage others. This month marks the completion of 10 years of monthly issues for Yavoh He is coming. We are looking forward to continuing this ministry until the Lord returns to establish His Kingdom.

Most people hear only of Monte Judah when they hear of Lion and Lamb Ministries. But I am supported by a host of very important people who do a tremendous amount of work. I am honored to work with these individuals and thankful that the Lord has brought them into the organization. They are all dedicated and committed to the ministry and serving the Lord.

Phil Vellekamp

Phil Vellekamp is the Director of Resources. Much of the technical operation of the ministry falls upon his shoulders. This includes our computer network which consists of 14 desktop computers, a local area network, equipment, printers, scanners, servers, and back up storage devices. Phil has developed our ministry data base. Using a standard database application program, he has developed our template for ministry operations including all invoicing, inventory control, giving records, and mailing data base. He has designed and developed the ministry’s audio recording and editing platforms. This includes our digital audio lab and production equipment. Phil improved the packaging of our products and oversees our entire mail order process. He is essentially the business manager of the ministry, coordinating our interface with the other vendors and organizations. Phil improved our ministry website www.lionlamb.net from its early inception. He has improved our monthly newsletter from an 8 page, black and white photocopy, to a 20 page full color magazine. I tell everyone that Phil is not my right hand; he is more like my whole right side. The Lord has used him in significant ways to build the infrastructure of this organization.

Lisa Vellekamp

Lisa is Phil’s wife and is responsible for all of the accounting and financial activity of the ministry. Lisa makes all the deposits and pays all the bills, including payroll, taxes, and program accounting. She maintains all our records and files for the organization and handles my in office appointments and teleconferences.

Marsha Burroughs

Marsha is responsible for communications and all mail orders. Whether it be mail or a telephone call, Marsha is usually the first person contacted by someone reaching our office.

She maintains our mailing database with address corrections and new subscriptions to Yavoh. At present, we maintain an active database of more than 12,000 messianic addresses. Our mail order operations support more than 200 products.

Elizabeth Porch

Elizabeth is responsible for the production and duplication of cassette and compact disc audio programs. This includes affixing labels to the media and producing covers for the packaging. Presently, Lion and Lamb Ministries handles more than 100 audio teachings in both cassette and CD formats.

Alyssa Glick

Alyssa is the assistant editor of our magazine Yavoh He is coming. She is our coordinator for special events and functions throughout the year. This includes Israel tour trips, the Camp Yeshua Messianic Youth Summer Camp, and our annual Feast of Tabernacles event.

Kia Golmoradi

Kia is the audio technician for the ministry. He is responsible for capturing the digital recordings and mastering all audio programs with the appropriate “headers and trailers.” Kia maintains the archives for all of the teachings.

Ephraim Judah

Ephraim is our graphic artist for the ministry. The most obvious of his works are the monthly covers for Yavoh He is coming. He develops all of the graphics for the audio program packaging, and also designs logos for special events and other ministries. Ephraim develops the visual presentation materials for any teaching programs that are presented by myself at conferences or other events.

Craig and Annie Doll

Craig and Annie are the managers of the new Lion and Lamb Ministries Outreach Thrift Store located in Norman, Oklahoma. Craig and Annie have placed donation boxes in the Norman area, established a sorting center, and are now completing the build out and opening for the new store.

Lin Judah

Lin is my wife and co laborer in this ministry. For many years, Lin handled nearly all of the administrative work for the organization, as well as raising our two children. In recent years, she has stepped back to handle primarily my traveling schedule and arrangements. Lin also leads the registration program for our annual Feast of Tabernacles celebration.

Monte Judah

I really didn’t want to put my photo in this article, but I have done so for those of you who truly are a part of this ministry. I guess this proves that I really do exist… by the way… my name really is Monte Judah contrary to any rumors you may have heard.

Lion and Lamb Website

Our website has gone through several changes over the years. Online we have past articles of Yavoh He is coming available in English and in Spanish thanks to our translator Maria Figueroa (not pictured). The speaking schedule, event information, streaming audio, and all of our products are available online as well.

Audio Teachings

Lion and Lamb Ministries maintains more than 600 mastered audio programs. The deep announcer voice you hear in many of our programs is that of Mr. Sam Lincicome (pictured right).

Yavoh He is Coming Magazine (newsletter)

Yavoh started out in our home on one computer with our first newsletter (pictured left) going out to 175 friends and family. It remained black and white as an eight page format for seven years. It has progressed to the current 20 page full color magazine that is received by over 7,500 people. Pictured across the bottom of pages 8 11 are all the covers of Yavoh since we went to full color (January 2003 February 2005).

Camp Yeshua
Messianic Youth Summer Camp

Camp Yeshua began in 2002 with 49 youth. Last year we hosted 135 high school and college age participants, with a staff of 20. This summer will be our fourth year hosting Camp Yeshua. It offers fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth in the Messiah to our young adults in the Messianic Movement.

Feast of Tabernacles

The Feast of Tabernacles has rapidly grown into our largest and most spectacular event of every year. Last year, nearly a thousand people attended our week long celebration of music, dance, teachings, and midrashes. This Fall we will be celebrating our ninth Feast of Tabernacles event in Chandler, Oklahoma.

Israel Tours

Tours to the land of Israel are offered at various times through Lion and Lamb Ministries. These are trips that change your life and make the Bible come alive!

Outreach Thrift Store

The Outreach Thrift Store (opening April 2005) is a new ministry to reach the local community in Norman, Oklahoma. Through the experience of Phil and Lisa Vellekamp, having developed and managed past outreach stores, they have provided Craig and Annie Doll with invaluable amounts of guidance and information.

B’nai Shalom Messianic Congregation

Just for informational purposes, B’nai Shalom (Children of Peace) Messianic Congregation is the local assembly here in the Oklahoma City area. While I am the teaching Elder of that assembly and all of the Lion and Lamb staff attend its services, the congregation is a separate organization and ministry from Lion and Lamb. The goals of the two organizations differ in scope so they have been established separately. Our services are broadcast live every Erev Shabbat on Paltalk.com.

Ministering to other Messianic ministries

With Lion and Lamb’s state of the art recording, duplication, and graphic art abilities we are able to assist in the production of other ministries’ audio teachings. These organizations and their messages are a great encouragement to the body of Messiah.

A Sincere Thank You!

The Lord has been gracious to us and He has given us a good work to do. We are a part of the greater Messianic movement and are pleased to have a part in awaking all Israel to prepare for the restoration and the Messiah’s return. But we could not have done this without you. You have sustained and encouraged us by reading and listening to our materials, purchasing products, and through your prayers and financial gifts.

Until He comes, may the Lord bless and keep you…

Monte
