He is prophesied to appear with the antimessiah and serve as his confirming counterpart. He will heal the beast from a fatal head wound. He will be able to perform other miracles in the presence of the beast. He will set up an image (statue) of the beast on the temple mount and cause it to speak. He will call on all of the world to worship the beast and use the "mark of the beast" economic control system. But more than all these things – he is the future leader of the modern church of today, and the church will willingly follow him to the great apostasy. He is called the false prophet.
He was born in 1948, the same year that Israel became a modern nation. He is a prince of the ancient people who came and destroyed the temple in Jerusalem - the Romans. His lineage chart traces to every great world leader including King David; he is referred to as the "son of David." His name can be calculated to the numerical value of 666 by the ancient Hebrew method in both English and Hebrew. His calling card visually presents the composite beast made from the body of a leopard, the feet of a bear, and the mouth of a lion. His power, throne, and great authority have been given to him by a red dragon. He wants to lead the European Union (the ancient Roman Empire) and have dominion over all nations. His name is Prince Charles of Wales. He is the leading candidate to be the prophesied antimessiah.
September 11, 2001 will be a date in infamy just like the Pearl Harbor attack date of December 7, 1941. However, this attack was far more than hitting battleship row in Hawaii. The almighty American dollar was hit this time. Pearl Harbor brought the United States into World War II. The World Trade Center and Pentagon attack will bring us into a war of a new and very tragic kind. The world has no idea what is coming over the horizon, especially the American people.
Israel is between a rock and a hard place (war). Eleven months have passed since the rock throwing began in Israel. Blame for the latest intifada is put at Ariel Sharon's feet for having the audacity to go up on the temple mount in September of 2000 demonstrating that Jews have the right to go there. His visit was of course coordinated with the Muslim authorities and with the press. It was done to demonstrate that many Jews hold the temple mount to be sacred. His visit was for the most part uneventful until it was completed. Then a handful of Palestinians scuffled with police for the benefit of the cameras. This was what Arafat was looking for - an excuse to return to violence. Arafat wants a war.
Many years ago, the Lord gave me a renewed understanding about the Word of God. I used to view my life as walking on a long path with many hills and valleys. My goal was always on the horizon. I discovered that no matter how many steps I took, the horizon remained at a distance and I was no closer to my goal than when I began. The pursuit of knowledge is like the horizon. The more you learn, the more you realize there is more to learn. Finally, one day I confessed to the Lord that the path I was on was getting me no where. The Lord instructed me to look down at the path and asked me what I saw. I saw thousands of pebbles and pieces of gravel.
The church does NOT teach that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
There are some in the church who would immediately take issue with this statement. In fact, I would hope that all brethren would take issue with the statement, but we need to address a critical issue that is affecting everyone of us in the faith. So, lay down your armor plate, sheath your sword, and let us consider together a criticism of the church by the Messiah Himself.
Television is a dominant media influence upon western thinking and the Survivor program is a good example of just how compelling that influence is. Maybe you didn’t watch this particular program with millions of others, but it was a stimulating program just the same. The second version of the Survivor television program was completed in early May of this year. Sixteen ordinary people were selected to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast the other players in the Australian outback. For 42 days these players had to endure hunger, the outside elements, and games of competition until they voted each other out of the game. This lasted until only two were left. The actual winner was determined by the vote of players who were voted off earlier. The game they played had all the elements of physical and psychological strategies to determine the winner. Maybe that doesn't make a lot of sense to you if you didn’t see the program, but its Okay. The fact is that this “reality TV” program had almost everyone enthusiastically watching and yet scratching their heads in confusion at the same time.
There is a page in the Bible that was not written by Moses, the Prophets, the Messiah, the Apostles, or God Himself. Many quote from that page more than the other writings combined. It is not inspired by God and God never told anyone to put that page in the Bible. However, the modern church has emphasized and taught more doctrine based on the words of that page than any other part of the Bible. It is the un-inspired page in the Bible. What page is it, you ask?
A very old story is told of a Gentile who came and asked a Jew to explain the Torah. However, the Gentile wanted the explanation to be short and to the point. So, he requested that the Jew stand on one foot to give his answer. He was a great teacher and the leader of the Sadducees. Upon hearing the request and its conditions, the teacher took a broom to shoo him away. The Gentile went to another teacher. The second Jew was the leader of the Pharisees and did as the Gentile asked. Standing on one foot, he said, "Don’t do to others what you don’t want done to you. The rest is commentary."
In September of 1993, Israel and the Palestinians began a seven year effort called the Middle East Peace Accord. It concluded in September of 2000 without agreement. The agreement broke down over the issue of Jerusalem and control of the temple mount. One man asserted Israel's right for Jews to access the temple mount by actually walking up on the mount. That man was a famous general and hero of Israel. His name is Ariel Sharon. The name "Ariel" means "the lion of God"; the name "Sharon" means "to straighten out or make smooth." Ariel Sharon is now the newly elected (by a land slide victory) Prime Minister of Israel. He intends to "straighten" a few things out on this Middle East peace business.
The Messiah clearly says, I am coming quickly! Then, the same Lord says, "Wait on the Lord". When I served in the military, we had an expression that seemed to describe these two responses to the Lord, Hurry up and wait!
Are we wrong to constantly anticipate the Lord's return? Is it unwise for us to always be in a perpetual "state" of readiness for the Lord's end time events? Yes, it is silly not to get on with your life and always be hanging on to every little prophetic event as though the Lord were about to return. Unless… you are the last generation spoken of by the prophets to see all these things take place.
One of the great truths from the Torah is the destiny of the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Simply put, what has happened to the fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the destiny of their descendants. These truths should be self-evident to any Bible student. It begins with God’s proclamation over Abraham, I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. We know that this heritage is passed down to the descendants. It therefore follows that the promise of “in your seed will all the families of the earth be blessed” represents a spiritual destiny extended to many generations.
